The Long Winter is over, and Baseball is officially back. We are heading into the first full week of the season, and it’s time to start making some moves. Whether you need some relief help, need some dart throw hitters, or you’re hoping to find a permanent lineup fixture, there’s a little something for everyone.
7 stolen bases at this point in the season is wildly impressive. He’s batting over .350 right now, and while that won’t likely last, he’s another speed guy who can make plays once he’s on base.
As we’ve said before, a healthy Michael Conforto should always be on your team or a DFS target. He’s crushing the ball and has reached base safely in each of the last five games. Enjoy the ride while he’s healthy.
A speed demon with a high strikeout rate. While his plate discipline isn’t great, when Siri is on base, he’s a threat. He does have enough pop to reach the 20/20 club, and is a big-play threat every game.
Talk about bouncing back. After getting drilled in the face last season, Ward is picking up where he left off with a batting average over .300. He’s a bright spot in an underwhelming lineup.
While this could be a committee, McArthur got first go at saves after Will Smith showed he doesn’t have the juice anymore. McArthur seems to be first up, and we can assume he’ll get save opportunities and will be called on in high-leverage situations.
Jose LeClerc has been on shaky ground. He’s not flashy, but he’s on a good team and is a steady hand at the helm. He’s certainly worth a flyer, and is even more useful in Saves + Holds leagues.
There are lots of other options on the waivers this week, with some other mentionable names:
